If you’re finishing your basement, de-cluttering your home, or working on a project that generates trash (more than will fit in your garbage can) pick up your free yearly dump pass and haul it to the landfill free of charge. I just picked up mine today at the Lehi City Administration building by the Library.
Lehi City offers a free dump pass to all Lehi residents. You can use the drive-through window on the west side of the Lehi City Administration building to pick it up. All you do is tell them you’d like your yearly punch card for the dump. They’ll ask for your name and have you sign that you’ve picked up your pass for the year, then hand you a punch card good for 5 free loads of 499 pounds or less at the Utah County Landfill located in Lindon. And there are directions to the landfill on the back.
(The last line of the directions on my new card were cut off. It’s supposed to say: Landfill will be on your right past the animal shelter.)
If you live somewhere other than Lehi, call your local city administration building to find out if they offer a similar service. I’ve heard there are many municipalities that do.
